Mandatory Training Hours (76 hours total)
The CHHA certification course includes:
60 hours of classroom instruction covering essential topics such as patient care, safety, infection control, nutrition, and communication skills.
16 hours of hands-on clinical training, completed in a real-world care setting under licensed supervision.
Training materials and guidelines will be provided upon registration. Students must complete all training hours to qualify for certification.
The CHHA course covers:
Basic patient care and hygiene
- Understanding and following care plans
Taking vital signs
Communication skills with patients and families
Infection control and safety procedures
Nutrition and meal preparation
Recognizing emergencies and reporting changes
Caring for patients with dementia and chronic illness
